The Pruning

Just outside Chatsworth, Ontario, stands these two unpretentious trees, that I would pass by every day. Throughout the winter season, specifically during early sunset, the backdrop against the trees was absolutely captivating. My eyes were continuously drawn to them each time I would pass by, so one day I pulled over to take a photo. The one tree was so pruned and decrepit, as the other appeared to be mature and dormant. Sure, I could analyze the difference between the two, but they were visually stronger together.  The space around them was fascinating and their unique shapes seemed to compliment each other.  At times in our life, God prunes us and we are bent out of shape; while at other stages, He gives us rest and assurance.
